How to pay

How to pay

All payments for regular work carried out such as window cleaning are collected by GoCardless who are our chosen direct debit provider. This makes for a smoother experience for all and automates the settlement process so you don't have to worry about finding the cash or manually processing card or bank payments on every visit. These are not set monthly payments and are only collected when we invoice you for any work carried out.

You'll receive a link to activate the direct debit with our first invoice and this is collected after 3 working days later.

For one off or ad-hoc work, we accept payment by card, bank transfer or cash.

Do I need to be home for my appointment?

You do not need to be home for your window cleaning although of course you can if you wish. You will know when we've been as the invoice will be sent electronically upon completion.

For gutter clearing, we use an electric gutter vacuum system that does require mains power. If there is external power at the property then we can use that without your need to be home. However, if this is not available and we need to connect inside then an adult will need to be home.

Do I need to prepare for my window cleaning?

There are some things that you can do that will help greatly to avoid any potential problems. Firstly, access to the property is essential to being able to clean all your windows so if you have any gates, please make sure we can get through them as required without the danger of having to climb over. If there are any access codes for certain areas, please advise in advance.

If you have pets, please make sure that all areas we will be working in are free from droppings. This includes lawn areas as we need to set up at an appropriate angle from the windows in order to use our poles and brushes effectively.

Whilst of course we always try to be as careful as possible it is worth taking the precaution to move any delicate or expensive items from outside your property to be on the safe side.

What is included in my window cleaning?

On the main part of your property we will clean the glass windows, window frames and sills, small vents above the windows and the doors. However, if we feel any of these are in considerable disrepair and are susceptible to further damage then we may omit them but will advise accordingly.

We don't include outbuildings or garages as a rule but can arrange if requested and the quote will obviously reflect this.

Why do you charge more for a first clean?

We often charge more for a first clean because of the extra work that is required to clean all the dirt, cobwebs and grime that has built up over a period of time. You would be surprised at what can come out of all the nooks and crannies!

This will be advised in your original quotation if applicable.

What should I expect after my first window clean?

Well hopefully you will be overcome with joy at the results of your window cleaning!

As we use water fed pole technology to clean your windows the water is left to dry naturally after a full rinse of the glass so it may have that "rained on" look. The extent of this can depend on the type of glass and obviously the weather conditions will also dictate how long this will take to dry but it should leave a spotless shine with no residue, thanks to the purified water we use. To that end, we advise that you do not dry them manually.

In certain circumstances where a lot of dirt has accumulated over a long period in hard to get to places, such as inside window vents, these can still occasionally drip slightly after cleaning so please bear in mind that this is sometimes unavoidable but will improve significantly on subsequent visits. Of course we do try to minimise this as much as possible by applying the proper and thorough cleaning techniques.

Of course, if you are unhappy with the finish then we do advise you get in touch straight away so we can remedy without delay.

The final part of the process is to send you our invoice by email and for the payment to be collected by direct debit as detailed above.

How do I arrange regular visits?

During your initial inquiry with us you will have the opportunity to let us know if you would like to schedule regular window cleaning appointments.

For logistical reasons, we offer either 4 weekly or 8 weekly cycles and our software helps keep track of these. There is no contract at any time.

All our appointments should be advised the day before via text or email so you will always know when we are coming.

Do you work in the rain?

The short answer is yes we work all year round as much as we can but obviously if it is torrential then we have to draw the line somewhere!

Some people believe that rain water makes windows dirty but in actual fact rain water is actually more or less pure. It is when it disturbs and mixes with the dirt already existing on the glass that causes the problem so if your windows are clean then there will be no problem.

Are you insured?

Yes, we have public liability insurance up to the value of £1,000,000.

If there is anything else you would like to know that we've not covered, please feel free to get in touch
